His
parents, though of ethnic difference, were of the same Catholic
faith. Chrysantha was in high school when civil turmoil engulfed the Island Nation. His father sought immigration to an English country and to continue his medical practice. The family settled in the USA. Chrysantha met shocking racial prejudice. This swayed him to fasten his identity to his family culture; and learn from ancient traditions.
Completing college with a degree
in South Asian Studies, he joined University of California's English
Language Program as a counselor, while developing his artistic expression
in various visual arts. |
